I'm not sure I understand your question? are the fish not eating them?

Similar to pellets you should only be feeding an amount that will get eaten relatively quickly (2-3 min or less)

Sorry I meant that since you can leave veggies in the tank for a long time, can you leave bloodworms in the tank for a couple hours or if your fish don't eat all of them, do you have to take them out?

well, you shouldn't feed so many that they would need to be in the tank for a couple hours. If they are not eaten in a few minutes, then you are feeding too many at a time and should reduce feeding ;) Veggies are a little bit different because they tend to take a bit more work for the fish to eat. Blood worms are kind of like pellets, they should be eaten when fed and not sit around the tank for hours.

Another reason for that, at least for me, is that I have to turn off my filters during bloodworm/brine shrimp feedings, or they could get sucked into the filters. I wouldn't want to leave my filters off for hours.

For me, each of my huge fish gets a half cube each, and they can finish that in 5 minutes lol

How 'icky' are bloodworms and brine shrimp to prepare and feed? I'm pretty squeemish around meat but it seems like there are too many benefits to feeding bloodworms and brine shrimp to ignore :undecided:

Really not bad if you get them in cubes. I.like the blood worms in sheets which is a little messy bit not bad. As long as you don't let the stuff melt it just looks like a cube of ice that is red. Like a popsicle :P
