Idk what gender, but if you feel the stomach area, if squishy then female, if hard then male.. but they are adorable!! By the way, what is an lps?

I feel your pain. Took me too long to appreciate them, now I have no room.

this is incorrect.. in many ways..

1. advising members to feel their stomach areas can actually cause problems to the fish. for fear that they migh 'squish' too hard. it's been done before.

2. squishy bellies is not a correct way to tell gender, sick fish with deterriorating organs wether it be male or female can have 'squishy' bellies.

3. if fish are too young, most of the time, you cannot tell their gender.

4. we are able to tell the gender of fish from pectorial fins and vent location & shape. there is no need to 'squish' the belly.

5. ALL healthy fish have firm bellies. that is of course unless we have a female full of eggs & ready to spawn.

streading, congratulations on your new cuties, please do not squish their bellies. if you can get some clear shots of their pectorial fins & vents, post them here so that we might be able to tell you what gender they are.
