Jeff99 31 Posted July 30, 2013 Hi guys. I don't know it is blood streaks or what, but yesterday my ryukin has a thick blood vein in the tail, but today the thick blood vein in the tail has gone... But know there is some thick blood vein in his Pelvic fins. This is like a bloody pelvic fins. The ryukin colour is white but I never see this before accept for this one. Also, when I come to the tank my ryukin is like swimming scampered all over the tank after a few second. I cannot put the water parameters know since I don't have one and I will go to the LFS to check it ASAP! And some pic will come. I also already add 0,1% of salt to the tank.
number20121 2,663 Posted July 30, 2013 Hi, can you tell us some of the other info until you have the parameters? How many gallons is the tank, how many fish? How much of the water do you change, and how often? What filtration do you have? Water temperature? It sounds to me like it could be an irritation caused by a water quality issue, but we can not say for sure until we have all the info required. Save some of the tank water to bring it to your LFS for testing, and then do a big water change. Adding salt is often beneficial, but when you do not know the water parameters (salt can make ammonia more toxic), it is best to change the water. With that, you are usually on the safe side and often that is all that is needed

Jeff99 31 Posted July 31, 2013 Know my ryukin has no more blood veins, maybe because I gave him/her. 0,1%salt and I check the parameters the causing of this is the nitrate. it is 20ppm because my last water change is only 25% I'm usually take my nitrate <10ppm .so if there is some problem that I get, I'll tell u guys sorry for making you guys disturb.
