anogoodrabblerouser 82 Posted July 25, 2013 I thought I updated the other thread about my tank this morning, but now I can't find it. So here's my water test this morning from before my water change: pH: 8.4 Ammonia: 2.5ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 0ppm The ammonia tested lower than it has been (.25 instead of .5) so I'm hoping that means the bb are kicking in. Also, this morning I tried using a bucket of warm water with the hose water to prevent temperature dip. It worked really well, thanks for that tip!
Orandatchi 210 Posted July 25, 2013 Your ammonia is written wrong. It says 2.5, not .25
anogoodrabblerouser 82 Posted July 25, 2013 Oh gosh! Yes, it was 2 POINT 5. Definitely wouldn't be saying they were better if it were that high. Now that the tank has started cycling a landlord from a place my roomie and I really liked called about a lease. Oh, universe.

DieselPlower 2,123 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) I thought 2.5 is very high which means bad? Ok changed it up on me now haha Edited July 25, 2013 by DieselPlower
cmclien 655 Posted July 25, 2013 You'll know if your cycle is kicking in with the cycled media you had when you start seeing some nitrates
