Tank measurements were better this morning. :)

Recommended Posts

I thought I updated the other thread about my tank this morning, but now I can't find it. So here's my water test this morning from before my water change:

pH: 8.4

Ammonia: 2.5ppm

Nitrite: 0ppm

Nitrate: 0ppm

The ammonia tested lower than it has been (.25 instead of .5) so I'm hoping that means the bb are kicking in.

Also, this morning I tried using a bucket of warm water with the hose water to prevent temperature dip. It worked really well, thanks for that tip!

Your ammonia is written wrong. It says 2.5, not .25 :o

Oh gosh! Yes, it was 2 POINT 5. Definitely wouldn't be saying they were better if it were that high.

Now that the tank has started cycling a landlord from a place my roomie and I really liked called about a lease. Oh, universe.

You'll know if your cycle is kicking in with the cycled media you had when you start seeing some nitrates :)
