Goldfish guy 34 Posted July 20, 2013 I like to feed these to my goldfish and the problem is that they float at the surface. Will these cause swim bladder problems? I don't think there is any way to make them sink. Here is the link from where I get them: http://aquaticsuppliers.com/Freeze-dried-foods_c2.htm
Moucho+Moncho 402 Posted July 20, 2013 Yes, they can and will cause SBD in floaty or non-floaty fish. We recommend not feeding ANY type of freeze-dried food. The best choice for feeding worms, etc is frozen. Brands like Hikari and San francisco bay are great.
Georgia 3,820 Posted July 20, 2013 All freeze-dried foods are the equivalent of potato chips for humans and a waste of money in my opinion. Frozen really is the best option.
Hidr 4,961 Posted July 20, 2013 Mine all seem to prefer frozen.
Evening 102 Posted July 21, 2013 Frozen is best. I got freeze dried bloodworms once, and my -tetras- wouldn't even eat it.
