doddmatic 56 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) HI Guys Little Bosco has some odd white spots that have appeared out of nowhere, none of my other two fish are affected. I did move some anubias into the tank (forgetting to bleach treat them, stupidly) that had been in quarantine with some Ramshorn Snails, and these snails (and the shrimp they live with) have been in contact with other fish int the past. * Ammonia Tank - 0 * Nitrites Tank - 0 * Nitrates Tank - 5 * Tap - no readings for Ammonia, Nitrate or Nitrite * Ph is around 7.5 for both tap and tank * 20 Degrees C Temperature * 220 litre tank, Fluval 305 external Canister with charcoal, various sponges, floss, glass and ceramic media * Four occupants in total, all under a year and generally quite small * 25 - 50 % WCs per week * Water conditioned with Seachem Prime Edited June 27, 2013 by doddmatic
Mikey 6,780 Posted June 27, 2013 It doesn't look like ick. . It looks like he might have scratched himself on something. Could I have a picture of the entire tank?

motherredcap 6,284 Posted June 27, 2013 I'm not so sure it isn't ich, Derek. Is there any chance you could get a clearer picture? You have a QT tank and regular salt, right, in case the Mods want you to salt him?
Daniel E. 10,021 Posted June 28, 2013 I have fought Ich more than once and I have to agree I don't think that it is. But like stated some clearer pics would be nice. Also if you could get one clear close up we might be able to see exactly what it is better. My "guess" would be external parasites of some sort. but that is just a guess.
Narny105 1,992 Posted June 28, 2013 A video would also be great if you are unable to get more clearer pictures
dnalex 13,633 Posted June 28, 2013 Derek, given that the pics are a bit blurry, it's hard for me to be able to tell if this has the characteristic raised grains of salt appearance. I would definitely like some other pics, or a video. I would agree strongly with Susanne's assessments. I don't know that it's ich, but I also definitely don't know that it's not.
shellbell4ever 1,381 Posted June 28, 2013 I agree it's hard to tell from the still shots a video would be of great help to confirm

doddmatic 56 Posted July 15, 2013 Hi all, sorry for not getting back to this. I have been away from the internet for a while. I think Mikey was right, whatever it was healed up in about five days. Derek
