Regular Member dnalex Posted June 27, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted June 27, 2013 Marbles protect eggs from egg scatterer parents who tend to eat their own eggs. I still don't know how that works. Wouldn't plants and spawning mops work better?
Regular Member yafashelli Posted June 27, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 27, 2013 There should be another round of eggs at least! I don't know how the snails survive the bleach dips, but clearly they do. Congrats. I put marbles in my first goldfish tank in case they ever bred and then they both turned out to be boys. I would like to know about this, too. Never heard of this. So, when you say she (the female goldfish) has lost her marbles, it has entirely new connotations! Vais ich vos, Dnalex! There will be NO MORE Eggapalooza, and no more shmexy times! The tank is clean, and that way it shall stay. Understood?!

My fish behaving themselves really makes you so farklempt? You should record yourself saying these things; you'd probably sound just as awkward as I do, with my south Lousiana accent. Regular Member yafashelli Posted June 27, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 27, 2013 eggs!!! yay!! I think they're all exhausted now--they're drifting slowly, all over the tank. There's only a few non-nommed eggs left, from the second batch, on the bottom. For Alex: A chazer bleibt a chazer!

Regular Member 4prettyfish Posted June 27, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted June 27, 2013 That would tire me out cleaning the tank to only find out more eggs later. You have some busy fish. You'll have to post a photo of your baby snail when he gets a bit bigger to see. How cute!
