Dead shrimp

Hiya! I wonder how dangerous it is to leave a dead shrimp in a 10 gallon tank. I pluck them out if I ever see a dead one, but with all the plants and hidey-holes I'm worried that I'll miss one eventually. Thanks!

i have a 7.5 gal cherry shrimp fluval ebi running and, i'm sure i've missed the old dead one.

I've not seen it happen myself but shrimps do tend to eat their old shells

so i can't see them having a problem eating their own kind for the added nutrition for the new shell.

Thanks Wizz! I do tend to see them nomming on the dead ones before I'm able to take them out, so I probably miss one every now and again that just gets gobbled up! Awesome. And gross!

Hahaha, a friend of mine called me over to my tank last week and said there were shrimps mating. I looked where he pointed...and nope, it was just a big ol' female eating her exoskeleton! Shrimp are so cool.
