Does anyone have or know anything about the Beamswork LED Lights?

Im looking at a 129 LED fixture 120 white 8000K and 9 blue 460NM LEDS.

It has two settings all on or just the blue oh and off lol.

Any input would be great.

Anyone have any info on their construction, reliability etc?

Not overly worried about their suitability for plants etc as my tank is non planted and atm I have zero lighting on it so any light is better than what I have.

My main concern is will it last and are they reasonably bright.?

Whats the difference with a double bright and a single bright?

Extra leds?

More lumen? ie 250 lumen vs 600 lumen?

Would you happen to know the specs of your lights?

Thanks

Here are the specs:

Double bright

Single bright

http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-lighting/LED-Aquarium-Lighting/single-bright-blue-led-aquarium-lighting-system.aspx#technical

I have the 36-48" double bright on my 40 gallon breeder GF tank and the 18-24" single bright on my 10 gallon betta tank.

Hope that helps. :D

Thanks heaps.

Ive found 2 different types of the beamswork led lights to suit.

One is equivalent to your single bright in a 36"-48" light at 600 lumen

The other is a bit different. It uses less leds but they're 3watt not 1 watt.

It apparently has 3240 lumen.

Has 18 x 3watt 10000k leds and

6 x 3watt actinic 460nm leds.

Its only about $60 more than the 600 lumen one.

Is the second one too much for a 36" 40gal tank?

I have been researching this for a while since if i am goin to spend that much on lights i want quality. I found a great review and a comparison from a fish keeper on YouTube. I never saved it but it was informative. He basically said the beam works are the same as marine land only they seemed a bit cheaper. Then he updated in the comments and said he liked the beamworks better. I can't find the beamworks locally and am buying marine land but I think it really comes down to price. I absolutely can't wait to use the lunar mode! Have you ever seen it? Just lovely. Another recommendation is to look them up on amazon and read all the user reviews. I often get a good sense of items I want to in best in from there. Good luck!

Well I bit the bullet and bought one off ebay last week...

Aaaaaand it arrived today :)

So far im very happy with it. Its very slim and alot smaller than I expect (I was expecting bulky)

Its very bright and the blue light does look very cool.

Im prob going to get a few more for my other tanks.

As it was cheaper (inc delivery) than a twin fluro cheap light from lfs near me. And only ises 18watts of power total.

Have to see how it holds up.
