Thank you! Do you mean the one in Indus' tank, the red ones? Those would be mermaid weed. A bit hard to find, I lucked up on some at a local shop. They were about a foot long and the shopkeeper snipped off the tops for me, and gave them to me for free!

I am loving the new layout of the newer tank the white stone is Beautiful but I am really most impressed with the 5 gallon tank and the plants both in the tank and out of the top

I'm thinking of trying something similar with a 20 long if I can get hubby to go along lol

Omg, I LOVE these tanks!! The plants are looking great, and the bettas are gorgeous! I suspect that one of these tanks is in my future.

Update pics of the new tank

I added a sponge filter
{the little piece of foil is there to prevent the water 'popping' at the surface, until I can come up with a better solution}

Beautiful Am I seeing a tree trunk on the left side? how about a piece of clear cellophane where the water/filter is plopping

Thank you. LOL...not a tree trunk. That's the planter in the water that holds the riparium plant. Thanks for the idea. I am thinking just a valve to clamp the tubing and slow the flow will do the trick. Notice I have to bend the foil all the way to the water's surface. That wouldn't work with plastic.
