Breeding stars?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know when breeding stars start to show up? My biggest goldie, Sarge, has these white dots on his pectoral fins. I've had him for ~6months and I just moved him into a 60gal yesterday.

I hope this is the right link for the pic (I'm on my phone). It's blurry but you can see what I'm talking about on his pec fins. The dots line the leading edge of his fin only. Nothing on the opercula.

I'm excited if that's what this is cuz I could finally sex one of my fish! Thanks for any help :)

They can show up at any time I believe after 5 months from hatching. That looks like a nice line of breeding stars :)
