What are the dimensions? When I get a house i'm going to built one similar to that. Looks amazing by the way and those fish are a great example of how big Goldfish can get with great care!

I agree with everyone that is one very neat and beautiful pond and you have very happy fishes! Do you feed those water lily with fert spike? How do you take care of water lily? Mine never blooms at all even if they are exposed to full sun.

Thanks

I must admit ive been a bit slack with my lillies. Theyre in the pots they came in and I got them second hand. Im sure they must be getting enough fertilizer from the fish.... waste.

Im from SA.

Very nice - I love it! I'm in the process of growing some water lilies and I cannot wait until they bloom!! I have white flowering bulbs at the moment, hoping to get other colors soon :)

So o was outside with my arms shoulder deep in my pond fitting an air stone to my pond to help oxygenate it better when two little (like tiny 1cm long) fry started pecking my arm...... one was orange the other orange and white.

I was a bit shocked. As I have a batch of fry from summer growing.

Its now winter. And they def can't be of the same summer batch theyre waaaay to small ive seen 3 new ones so far hiding in the parrots feather.

Im guessing the fact we had a freak warm period about 4-5weeks ago or so after the usual cold leed upto winter tricked the fish into thinking it was spring again?? We had a freak week of 30c days after a good month of high teens to low 20's c weather.

Looks like I need another fry grow out tank....

Already have approx 30 from my first batch which I wasnt prepared for.

And def wasn't prepared for these new ones as it isn't spring lol.

Looking at getting a petshop style display tank for the fry. 4' with three dividers so I can separate by size and keep easier eye on them til theyre of size.

I had plans for another pond but it's too cold n wet o do now til spring.

frisky fish.... lol

Thank you. I must admit I had some help from my Dad and brother. :)

If they plan on getting this busy twice a year im def going to be needing some grow out tanks or ponds lol.

Ive counted about 30 new ones in the pond which prob means there are 200 hiding haha.

Woo hoo!

Just been given the ' yeah ok, if you want' to more ponds :)

So as soon as its decent enough weather im off to nab a trailer to get my supplies for my new grow out ponds.

They will be moveable ponds unlike my main pond and approx 500L (130gal) each.

My main concern now is joining them for use with one pump and filter. I have a theory but until I get the ponds setup I wont know if it will work or not.

But cant wait to get started as my grow out tank is getting crowded (and just found even more fry in main n pond).

That sounds great! I somehow forgot to link you back to this pond :P It's absolutely amazing!

It would be great if you could post progress shots for your build! What type of wood are you using for it?

Good luck!
