Snails for ponds?

I am thinking of getting a 150 gallon rubbermaid stock tank and using that as a pond. I'm going to stock it with 2 common goldfish from RG. I am looking for a type of snail that eats brown and green algae, can live in a pond all year ( might be moved into my 40 gallon breeder in the winter ), and does not harm my fish. Any suggestions?

Pond snails, ramshorn snails, mystery snails, trumpet snails. I am guessing you can keep nerite snails as well, and they won't reproduce like the other snails would.

You can probably keep almost any kind of the generally available aquatic snails in there. The question is though what they will eat, since algae is surely not the only source of food available to them, but leftover food from the fish, dead plant matter etc. So there is no guarantee that the snails will help control the algae.
