Got two White's today!

Recommended Posts

Wow, nice white bubble eye! I've got my eyes open for one of those...

You did the right thing moving him away from your curious ryukin. Protect those bubbles!

I would also keep them separate. Ryukins are fast, strong, and dominating. Bubble eyes need a gentler place to live in my opinion :)

YES I think it shld be in a tank with either same breed or telescopic goldfish.

both are rather slow in finding food

Since bubble eyes are facing up, will floating pellets be easier for them?

I notice its very active and constantly trying to squeeze ard the filter intake tube and corners...

Very worried it will hurt itself.

Finger Xcross!

No offense meant but since I don't own any bubbly eye goldies I am curious. What does happen if their bubble pops?

They are rather inexpensive and much smaller in size in LFS perhaps its due to being too vulnerable..

If those burst: maybe will they just die, im just guessing too

If they pop sometimes they will heal and start growing back

They could also get an infection and may die though

I recently had one pop during a water change. I removed the fish to a 10 gallon, fed antibiotic food to ward off a secondary infection, kept the water at .1% salt and changed it every day. It took about two weeks to heal and is now growing back quite well. The two sides are almost even.

This is what I would recommend doing if this happens to you. Super clean water with salt to prevent infection may also work but I wanted to be super careful.

Congrats on your two new fish. They are cute as can be. At one of my lps there were several little pandas for sale. They were adorable and tempting. :)

Are Panda rare to find?

all my LFS have them in rather small size...

i never see them as big as the other breed...

Honestly, I don't see them a lot around where I live. I'm sure some people do. Some don't hold the black color, they change
