RaechelleBalonkita 1 Posted April 5, 2013 Two Orandas (about 2-3 inch each including tail) I have, Hikari Lionhead Mini pellet Food. Saki-Hikari Fancy Goldfish Food. I know the "2 Minute Rule" but how many actual sinking pellets do I feed them?? How many times a day? How many times a week?
GoldenSpoiledRotten 6,786 Posted April 5, 2013 This can depend on your fish. Do any of them have swimbladder issues? How much are you feeding right now, and are you seeing any reasons to be concerned?
jmetzger72 6,976 Posted April 5, 2013 I wouldn't worry about counting them. Use the two minute rule. Give them a few at a time. Wait for them to eat all the pellets in the tank before offering more. All the food should be eaten within the two minutes. I would try feeding them twice a day(morning and night) everyday and see how they do. You may also want to add some veggies into their diet to prevent constipation.
RaechelleBalonkita 1 Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) They look happy and healthy and really active, I fed them a slice of an orange yesterday, they seem to really like it, I'm trying varieties of food since I just started this goldfish hobby. Earlier today I fed about 5 pellets of The Hikari Lionhead food to each of my orandas.. Edited April 5, 2013 by RaechelleBalonkita
