Flipper 13,057 Posted April 2, 2013 So, A ryukin (Flipper) that I bought from LFS in december continues to flash. She is my first GF, but I've had many other types of fish and tanks. I want to treat with prazi. I've been treating with 3% salt for one week. I bought powder prazi on amazon. It states that dosage is 10gr/1000gal. My tank is 29gal. I have a small pocket scale. I know this is basic math, but if I mess it up I'll kill my fish. Will somebody tell me the correct dosage, please. Flipper

Flipper 13,057 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Its powder. No, not prazipro. I'm utterly computer challenged. I will try to paste a link. Thanks for looking. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Praziquantel-Prazi-25-grams-/330710011902 I was wrong. it was ebay, not amazon. I hope this worked. dnalex 13,633 Posted April 2, 2013 Do you mean 0.3% salt? Here is the math: 10 grams = 1000 gallons -----> 1 gram = 100 gallons ----> 0.29 grams = 29 gallons. Since Prazi has a very generous safe curve, go ahead and use 0.5 grams to treat each time.

dnalex 13,633 Posted April 3, 2013 Thanks! What kind of gem? Can it be something somewhat expensive? Good luck with the treatment!
Flipper 13,057 Posted April 3, 2013 Thanks! What kind of gem? Can it be something somewhat expensive? Good luck with the treatment! HMMM! I'm gonna say aquamarrine. Seems appropriate...does it not. Its also my birthstone. Its not one of the more fancy and expensive ones though. Sorry about that.
dnalex 13,633 Posted April 3, 2013 It's OK. I don't think I want to be fancy. Aquamarine is a great choice! LOL
