I am leaving the island and moving back to California at the end of this month and am worried about the welfare of my fish i know i have to ship them overnight but thats about it, if you guys could please help me on telling me what it is that i need i would greatly appreciate it. Also i have a big Styrofoam box i got from petsmart i treated my fish with prazi, and i gave them all a salt dip. ive been feeding repashy, veggies, and hikari color enhancing pellets so i hop that ive done good so far. This is probably the only thing really stressing me out like you wont even imagine ive dealt with many big moves before so its no a problem for me but this is driving me insane.

is that all i need to know before this move? so far i have to fast them 3 days prior, make sure i have the proper shipping box for them and right water and oxygen ratio. Either than that is that all? I am going to also over night my Filters so i can have those for when they arrive and are homed in a steralife container, im going to wrap the media in newspaper to absorb the moisture and hopefully the bacteria, or fill a ziplock bag full of tank water with the media inside im not sure how to tackle this any help would be appreciated.

If you have the bin, you could fill it with enough water from your tank and out your media in there, make sure that the lid is on tight though, you don't want water everywhere and dead biological bacteria :o

You can fill a bag of water to cover the media and get lots of oxygen in the bag like you would do with your fish and then you can place it in that box with your fish. (Don't bag your fish with the media that won't be good.)

There would have been water everywhere ;). And I'm not an expert on shipping but I would imagine filling the bag with water from your tank and adding the media to it with oxygen would be fine. Again I'm not an expert and I'm sure others will be on shortly.

The media doesn't need to be sloshing in water. It just needs to be wet, and stay wet, for the whole duration. :)

nice thanks
