Do only male fish have breeding stars of their dorsals and bottom fin?

I thought they only have them on the gills? Do they really look like stars like twinkle twinkle lil star?

They can have them on the front rays of the pectoral fins, as well as all over the body actually :)

They better look like stars or else I be squeezing Ich attack products.

This is why you should never diagnose diseases on your own. I always consult at least one other person by treating with anything.

If you post a clear pic of their vent, it's possible we can find out for you. Though with younger smaller fish, it is sometimes hard to sex. There is a gender guide in my siggy if you want to read up on more info :)
