Also, how can I prepare them? For the peas, I heat them, then peal them. Then I smash them into little pieces. I am afraid they will choke or something will get stuck in their throat!

You can feed dark leafy greens like kale, spinach, and nori. You can also feed frozen foods like bloodworms for extra protein! You could also try a gel food mix like repashy

I second the repashy. Soilent green and super green are the two main ones most of us feed our goldies. It can be fed as a staple. Alternatively, you can make your own gel food and there are a number of recipes for that.
