dnalex 13,633 Posted January 29, 2013 In a way, I saved my very favorite types of goldfish to be updated last. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to cooperate tonight, so the pictures are less than stellar. In any case, these are the ranchu and orandas in my keeping. Here's the lone ranchu in the bunch. He's the mellowest guy of the the group by far. My red cap. The oldest oranda, and the 2nd oldest fish. Her cap is heart shaped. My tiger oranda. There is so much wen on this one. Chocolate/brown oranda. He's a recent acquisition from DO. As is this black oranda. Thank you for looking!

Pearlscaleperfect 3,561 Posted January 29, 2013 omg the second pic of your tancho is to die for! She looks like she's kissing the other fish. "Did you get a booboo? I'll fix it!" I love the wen on the black oranda too, it looks so bubbly yet evenly spaced; very organized looking!

number20121 2,663 Posted January 29, 2013 "The photos are less than stellar" - you need to get your head out of your youknowwhere, my friend! I wish my photos turned out half as good. The fish look stunning, I love that tiger and the chu! Also, does your black oranda have one really huge scale on his right lower abdomen or am I seeing things? It's funny how on your chocolate the lower caudals curl inward as well, Spicey's and Wakka's do this as well. I do find this kind of neat though
happysnapper 454 Posted January 29, 2013 Well. I guess those pictures are about average. WHATEVER, Alex, stop being so modest. FANTASTIC shots, all of them. This one here? Killed me dead.
fantailfan1 26,742 Posted January 29, 2013 As you may or may not know, I have a "No Wen" policy. However, I do see a couple fish for which I will make an exception. I'll PM you may address. Thanks for helping me get over my fear of wens. So thoughtful of you!

Mr.B 2,535 Posted January 29, 2013 Oh, Alex, they're so amazing. I am a huge fan of redcaps, in general, and your girly-girl is stunning. I love the orange markings on her. I think you should enter the picture of her kissing the tiger in the photo contests this month. Too cute. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next installment.
