Not sure what they are please help.

Recommended Posts

I came home from school to these little round things at the bottom of my tank. I'm not sure what they are but my fish seem content as usual and this isn't the first time this has happened but i'm just curious why it happens/what it is.

I thought they were eggs but I wasn't sure haha. My mom got a huge smile on her face when I told her but then I told her that I don't think they will hatch because I don't think they became fertilized.

If you think they are fertilized put some in another container so the fish don't eat them. Any that go white and fuzzy remove and some may hatch. In a few days you may be able to see tiny dots in fertilzed eggs.

*The fertilized ones will show black dots inside them in a day or two, I think.

I had two babies survive the big tank. I didn't think any were fertilized and one night I went to turn off the light one night and saw these little squiggly things hiding by some driftwood, so keep an eye out. You might be surprised by them.
