Adding my snail into betta tank

Hi =) Guss has made it over a month in QT leading me to believe it is time for him to join Gilbert in the 10G. How do I add him into the tank and ensure he is comfortable? I put him in yesterday for a few hours but he fell on his side and did not move for the whole stay so I brought him back to QT. I worry he doesn't like the tank =( How do I make him feel welcome?

Okay =) I guess I just worry he's being pestered by Gilbert... I mother that snail more than the fish I think. He falls on his side, I put him upright again... he has a piece of slime hanging on his shell, I pluck it off... he's my little baby =) I'm so silly.

My experience with snails is that they often take more time to acclimate to a new tank. He may be hiding inside his shell for a week or more, barely moving. The betta will initially pick at him, since he is curious. But usually a betta figures out within a couple days that the snail is no threat, and too big and difficult to eat. :lol

He's in and he loves it! Some cute pictures of the transition... involving some serious broccoli love.

This little guy was just chilling in his cup getting acclimated to the warmer water when in plops a piece of broccoli stem. He high tails it across the cup (well, as fast as a snail can high tail) and takes it into his arms... how sweet.
