Regular Member dnalex Posted November 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 I can't access the video on my phone for some reason, but if the chasing is too much, you can float her in a colander in the tank so she can get some much needed alone time.
Regular Member leross04 Posted November 27, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 I need to do this! also would getting another girl would that take the pressure off her, and the other girl? because there's two boys and one girl right now
Regular Member dnalex Posted November 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 If the other female is also spawning, then it might help. Otherwise, they would just ignore her. I would just give her intermittent breaks in the colander, and let them finish the process. It should be long if they are already relentless chasing her.
Regular Member leross04 Posted November 27, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 this is going to sound stupid, but how do I separate her with the colander does it float? or do I put it at the bottom of the tank?

Regular Member 4prettyfish Posted November 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 Oh the poor girl. Hope she is getting rest now that you put her in a colander. Your tank looks beautiful. Are those real plants? Very pretty.

Whoops didn't mean to quote that last part, sorry!
Regular Member dnalex Posted November 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 They will, but you should let her out most of the day so they can chase her and get her to release the eggs.
Regular Member fantailfan1 Posted November 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2012 Your tank and fish are beautiful! I can see why they chase her.
