redgold54 4 Posted October 30, 2012 Does anyone use LED lighting for their tanks? I've seen youtube videos of LED light strips (or light tubes).
GoldenSpoiledRotten 6,786 Posted October 30, 2012 I recently ordered a Marineland Hidden LED Light System 21", and I know of plenty of people who use LEDs. I haven't heard very many bad reviews on using LEDs
fantailfan1 26,742 Posted October 30, 2012 I have a Marineland Double Bright on my 40gal and a single bright on my 10 gal betta tank. I like them.
soupmonster 59 Posted October 30, 2012 LED lights are cool, but just make sure you have staggered lighting or there are plenty of shady plants for them to hide in.Since my LEDs were a bunch of little lights in a row, they eliminated the shade casted by my 22 little anubias. D: My 39W LEDs were too bright for my fishes until I had floating plants. Lamp light transition to LED light technique didn't help my fishes.
