Sharkbait3 310 Posted October 18, 2012 I have found that for US the answer is "yes"......................... We have had glass ones in the past and we had an Oscar that broke it so we changed to titanium heaters.............. we now use them on all the tanks.............
JouteiMike 5 Posted October 18, 2012 Most glass ones are shatter proof, like Eheim Jager ones, and have auto dry run shut-offs. But titanium is virtually indestructable - only gripe that I have for them is the price... Titanium are considerably higher priced than plastic or glass. But let's not forget plastic! Marineland Stealth heaters are great too for their price. A lot of it depends on personal preference, and how much money you're willing to spend. Do you have a spending limit in mind? What size heaters are you looking for?

We have had glass ones in the past and we had an Oscar that broke it so we changed to titanium heaters.............. we now use them on all the tanks............. I need one specifically for my Oscar tank! Most glass ones are shatter proof, like Eheim Jager ones, and have auto dry run shut-offs. What size heaters are you looking for? I'm looking for a 300w or higher. And budget is around 50.
LovelyChaos 869 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) http://www.amazon.co..._sxp_grid_i_1_1 BAM Also, i read marineland stealths were recalled. Do you need exactly 300w or can you do 250? If you can do 250, check this out: http://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-06106-Submersible-Aquarium-100-Watt/dp/B003C5TPF6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1350597021&sr=1-1&keywords=aqueon+pro+submersible+heater I know that DNAlex and Tithra love aqueon pro. If you wanted titanium the cheapest I saw at 300w was 53 dollars (: Edited October 18, 2012 by LovelyChaos
