LovelyChaos 869 Posted September 12, 2012 So i mixed up 19 parts water and 1 part bleach and dunked each plant in it, let it sit for a little bit, and moved them to another tub of water. Then to the non bleached tub I added prime. What else do i need to do? They still smell a little like bleach. Daniel 5,668 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) The bleach solution should be enough to take care of any nasties trying to hitch a ride on the lettuce. As far as getting the excess bleach off, a good thorough rinsing should suffice. Alternatively, you can leave them in the tub of dechlorinated water for several hours if you so wish.
