GoldfishLover! 4 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) After being completely confused by the information about Lionhead and Ranchu, I had to do my own digging (see the first diagram below [1][2][3][4]). Though the fish on the diagram photo should all be considered as variants of the Lionhead, the traditional Lionhead is obviously fading away from the markets and the history. But I managed to find one local breeder who imported their Lionhead from Singapore in the 1980s just before the ban on goldfish imports in New Zealand [4]. Their Lionhead's features are have slightly curved back and large tails [2]. I like them and have bought some The first photo below is how I think the Lionhead family was then and is now. The other photos are my new favorite baby Lionhead. Will give them the best care, and keep their babies if they spawn, and you may pick any that catch your eyes Edited August 20, 2012 by GoldfishLover!

Spyromon 5 Posted October 24, 2012 I like your Lionheads a lot. Have in mind they seem to be babies and their colours haven't developed yet. Expect a sudden change of colours. They usually will show their actual colour at the age of 6 months (or earlier) and will keep that colour for some time and even have colour changes way later on.
