Guldklumpen 51 Posted June 16, 2012 Hi all. With the help of dnalex i finally understand the dosing of Metronidazole in gel food. (thx for your patience dnalex) Now i just need to know, how much Acidophilus/probiotics to use? Can you overdose with probiotics? When i make metro gel food, i make 100grams of gelfood containing 1000mg Metronidazole and feed the fish 1% of its bodyweight of the gelfood ED. But how much probiotics do i use for 100grams of this food? I have bought theese : http://www.natur-drogeriet.dk/frame.cfm/cms/produktblad=yes/npv=22664/npbv=22664/sprog=1/grp=101/menu=101 ...where 1 cap contains 4 billion freezedried germs (sry for Danish link). Thx all Jesper/Guldklumpen
dnalex 13,633 Posted June 16, 2012 Hi Jesper, The dosage of probiotics is 2x10^7/g, or 2x10^9/100g. Your capsule is good for 200 grams of gel food
Guldklumpen 51 Posted June 16, 2012 Hi Jesper, 2x10^7/g, or 2x10^9/100g. Why are you speaking klingon???
dnalex 13,633 Posted June 16, 2012 Ok. Let's try it again. It's 20 million bacteria per gram of food, or 2 billion bacteria per 100 grams. Since each tablet contains 4 billion, you have enough for 200 grams
