  1. I was pretty excited to get my new 90 gallon this past weekend. Got it all set up yesterday. It was an awesome gift from my hubby. It was no easy feat to get it. A 2 1/2 hour drive (5 in total). We managed to fit the aquarium in the back of my car and shipped the stand Greyhound overnight. I added three of my gang to it. I was so happy for them. Check out the cheekiness on my orange one with the white fins, Jadzia. It looks like he's yelling at me. lol It's hard to believe my two orangies were less than 2 inches a year ago this month
  2. Hi, I found this video a week ago or so. It's kind of long but I thought the guys brought up some helpful info and shared some tips that seem to be supported by people on this forum.
  3. Hi ! everyone ! Long time to see you. Today, i introduce a new type of Goldfish " Mirror Goldfish" i have just uploaded this video, so the thumbnail has yet to be reflected. Mirror Goldfish can be identified by irregular scales dotted over its body same as Mirror Carp.
  4. I came across this video while I was looking at goldfish stuff on the internet so I thought I'd share! Anyone ever seen these before?
  5. The still unnamed new guy has warmed up to me quickly, but dislikes the camera. It also is really tough to take decent photos of him in the tank. The thin layer of algae on the inside of the acrylic certainly does not help improving the picture quality either. I did improvise though to present you with some photos of a video and made use of the Olympic Tablespoon once more. Dwarf Puffer sure is a very descriptive name for these guys. He also has the cutest markings every. Most other DPs I have seen have less dark markings. The dark blue on the sides really does not show well in top view, and the camera tends to wash it out too. His markings are what made me pick him over the cute little fat girl that was in the tank with him. In side view you can see the blue markings a bit better Side view happens at about 1:20 or so
  6. Hello!! I haven't really shown my fish and tank outside of the subbies forums, so here is a video update I made!
  7. This morning I finally named my new betta! Which is a fun story. It happened when I was watching the guy together with hubby before I had to go to work, and I told Steven that the betta must love even the 2.5g QT tank compared to the small cup he was in at Walmart. Then both of us said simultaneously "So much room for activities!!" - which is something both of us say a lot because we love the movie Step Brothers. Right that second it hit me, and I said that from now on, this fish shall be known as Will Ferrell Anyway, here video of Will from a few days ago. The QT has some more plants since, and he is really doing well so far. He seems much "nicer" than Donna Noble was, and he is so very curious all the time! Such a fun little cutie And just because, here's the scene that gave him his name https://www.youtube....h?v=27R79_Mi5Hk
  8. I needed to do a salt dip today for Luca, and since I’ve seen a few requests around the forum for a how-to video, I figured I’d go ahead and make one! Here it is.
  9. I haven't updated on these two in a while, so here is a video featuring first Norm, and then his little sister Eve (of course I have no real clue about their genders ) I can now see all of Norm's fins. Unfortunately he only has a single anal fin, but it's not like I really care With Eve, I can not really make it out yet.
  10. I love my fish so much They just make me smile and laugh. Is that title better, Alex? Again, this set up is not permanent, most of them will be moved to a bigger aquarium that is being set up at the end of the week (: <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid4.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy118%2Fsoy_mocha_latte%2FAnimals%2FDSCN2441.mp4">
  11. Feeding some bloodworms in my main tank. The camera only captures a bit over half of the tank, I tried to keep the action on that side by dumping the yum yums in on that end. And sorry for crappy video quality, it's filmed with an old photocamera I am playing with the thought of covering the other side of the tank with anubias too.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPCboCaapk8&feature=plcp stay tuned for this goldfish tv production
  13. My fish were very happy after their water change and their green beans. Please excuse the bad quality, and ignore the background noise, my dad was watching Transformers, lol.
  14. Hi everyone. I'm sneaking away from my 'honey do' projects to upload this video of the fishies from this morning. Don't tell!!! My new phone has a better camera than the old one so I hope the quality is ok. Thanks for watching and enjoy! <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid1136.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fn494%2Fmjbubbles4%2F20120527_083837.mp4">
  15. The other morning while I was drinking my tea and watching the fish, Milou the big kitty jumped up on the table next to the tank and was intently watching. You must understand that Milou is quite large (22 lbs.) and takes up at least 6 inches when sitting. The space on the table was only 4 inches, so it was quite funny to watch him squeeze into the space to watch the fish. here's a short video: It was so cute!!
