This is a thread about what you’ve trained or taught your goldfish to do. Most of us know about Comet who can push a little soccer ball into a net, swim under a limbo rod, and weave through a slalom course. What have you taught your fish to do? Even gaining your fish's trust to take food from your hand counts here. Will it follow your finger to find floating pellet? Do your fish let you touch them? I heard someone here say they trained their pond goldfish to swim to a designated viewing area when they played a certain type of music. I'd like to hear how you interact with your fish. And...has your fish trained YOU? Does it act in a certain way to try to get you to feed it or give it a treat? Weigh in, Kokonuts!
Hey Guys, Was just wondering how long (if you have) it took for your goldfish to eat from your hand? I've started to hold food in my hand etc and drop it in front of them so they associate my hand with food and trust that I only want to feed them, not hurt them. My curious little Calico Oranda (Sushi) took a tiny piece out of my hand before quickly swimming off to the other end of the tank. Can't wait until this is a regular feature. Just wondered how long it generally takes and how you guys have found it. Thanks.
