  1. SO QT is over and Edie has officially been introduced to her still nameless boy toy. They are getting along really great so far I have a video to post at some point too of the introduction, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Anyway, enjoy!
  2. My new fish came today! (from raingarden) He is so teeny compared to Edie! I will probably keep him in QT for a couple months to fatten him up some. As much as I love the look of a deep bodied fish, I purposely chose a long bodied one in order to lessen the chances of SBD.... having dealt with a floaty fish for the past year I want to do everything in my power to avoid having another one! I couldn't get many pics because he is very skittish and began darting around when I turned on the light, so I'll have to do a more formal intro in a few weeks once he is settled (and once I have a name!) I was really impressed by the water params. Ammonia was about .25, and Ph was about 6.6-6.8 (which means there was essentially no toxic ammonia in the bag)
  3. Hi all! With the new addition I wanted to begin tracking his growth and also update on Edie's growth which I haven't done in a few months. I am really happy with Edie's growth And I can't wait to begin fattening up my little tiny skinny guy! First Edie: Length (body only): (not much growth in body length, although I think there may be some tail growth ) 2/26/12 - 3.4 inches 9/25/12 - 3.6 inches Weight: 2/2/12: 95 g 2/26/12: 103 g 4/14/12: 111 g 6/1/12: 115 g 9/25/12: 136 g 2/26/12 9/25/12 2/26/12 9/25/12 And now for our unnamed guy: Length: 9/25/12: 3.4 inches Weight: 9/25/12: A sad sad 65 grams 9/25/12 9/25/12
