I have a rosy red minnow and he has been acting nervous for a few days. I have him in a ten gallon tank with three other fish (an albino corydoras catfish, and two balloon bellied mollies. I KNOW THAT YOU CAN'T PUT TROPICAL FISH WITH GOLDFISH BUT MY FRIEND'S FISH DIED AND SHE HAD SOME ROSY RED MINNOWS LEFT OVER FROM FISH FEEDINGS SO I TOOK 2-one died-) TOday I came home and my minnow had a red spot on his tail so I moved him into a seperate fish bowl. Now the dot has turned into red splotches all over his tail and he has what looks like tiny red pricks on his upper body. There is NO ammonia in the tank and everything else is normal. Does he have septicemia? Or another kind of bacterial infection? He hasn't been looking normal for the past few days either... He would spit out food, and would be very jittery and nervous. Now my cory catfish is spazzing out (like more than normal and I don't want to lose him!!!). Does it have anything to do with what is wrong with the minnow? PLEASE HELP! OH AND.... the temperature in the tank is like 74 degrees (fahrenheit). I changed the water (like 15%) in the tank because if it was a bacterial infection that would help. Quote MultiQuote
