I'm new here, but I've taken a lot of info from this forum in the past few months. You guys have really helped me out so thanks for that Okay. So, here's my problem. About a week ago, a long-term power outage basically destroyed my cycle. I ended up getting some cycled media and substrate from my Aunt's tropical tank to keep my water safe. My issue is she informed me her fish have either ich or velvet yesterday (or both?). So my goldies have probably been exposed. Neither of them are displaying any symptoms of either parasite so far. Should I go ahead and treat to be on the safe side? When I purchased my tank on Craigslist, and the woman gave me some meds and stuff, so here's what I have on hand: Mardel Coppersafe (1/2 a bottle) API Aquarium Salt Tetra Paraguard (Unopened) I can run to my LFS tomorrow morning if I need a specific med. Thanks for reading.
So I have decide to re-home my 4 single tail goldfish to a pond, since it spring now. I think they will much more happy and have more room to swim around and explore in a pond then a 55 gallon tank. Yes I kow now that they are over stock. I would love to get a large tank but don't have the room for one at this moment. I going to miss them I was think about getting fantail goldfish. how many should I get for a 55 gal
I got a couple of pictures of the three baby fantail I brought home yesterday. They're all in QT right now/ No names yet. Not naming until they've been here a full week after the last few experiences... I am not sure if they'll turn out Ryukin or fantail really. xD They had them all kinds of mixed up. I was there to oogle their calicos, and as I was I just saw this little guy. And he just kept staring at me. xD so I looked to my mom and was all 'if I DON'T get him will I regret it when we get home?' And she said yes. So I ended up getting him. He has the derpiest face. And here are the ones I meant to come home with.
