So it's been a while... a very LONG while. I haven't been active in what seems like forever! Not since the past year of teaching, packing, moving, and getting married. There have been quite a few ups and downs this past year in my personal life, in my goldfish keeping life, and just in general. There are so many new members here on Koko's and some familiar old friends. <3 It's good to know that even though I've been gone for so long that Koko's is still a place I can come back to and feel like I can hop in and swim. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ So for those of you who don't know me, I'm Tinkokeshi, Hsi Hou, pronounced "si-ho". I've kept goldfish since 2005, starting in my college dorm room. (I actually found the picture of my first "set up" if you'd even call it that... and I showed it to Daniel.) His reaction was "OH NO!!! Poor thing!" That's how bad it was... I'd post pictures, but I'm afraid of all the lectures I'd get! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ So these past few months have been hectic! For those of you who aren't on FB with Daniel and me, here's the run down. Started house shopping in early April 2011. Closed on our house late April 2011. Started moving stuff out mid May 2011. School year ended, and we moved everything of mine (save for my 5 goldfish) from AZ to CA late May 2011. Got married early June 2011. Went on a cruise and to Taiwan for the rest of June 2011. Had an informal wedding in our back yard late June 2011 the day after we got back from Taiwan. July and August 2011 spent setting up house, getting necessary items, etc. I've been looking and applying for some teaching jobs out here in CA. Didn't know the credentialing process here in CA took so unbelievably long. So all the paperwork has been submitted, just have to wait until it's processed. In the meantime, been applying for some tutoring jobs here and there. We'll see how that goes. For those of you who aren't aware, Daniel (Beancurdturtle) and I met here on Koko's in 2007. We were paired up by Imogen (Trinket) and Madeline (Mads) for the Koko Xmas Exchange that year. Now, 4 years later, we're married. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Good news is... I've got plenty of time to spend perusing through Koko's posts. Bad news is... of the 12 gal aquapod, 30 gal tall, 55 gal, 72 gal bowfront, and 125 gal tanks in the garage... none are set up cuz we have a small house. LOL. My fish that survived the electrical meltdown of the 125gal tank are in AZ with my parents with my other 55gal tank. I'm itching to set up a tank, but we really just don't have room right now. So as not to end on a sad note... A couple of wedding pictures for the ol' friends who haven't seen 'em on facebook.
