Two days ago while i was out at dinner the power in my house got knocked out. The filter backed up and everything flowed into the tank. I put in a new filter system and changed as much water as possible. I have had my fish since she was the size of a dime three years ago. She is five inches long and has used the same cold water tank her whole life. No other fish. I think the problem is that i did an emergency water change and the new water w to warm. She its on the bottom and moves only a little. Her body is ok no spots or scraps. Some of her slime coat came off last night, it looked like shiny film coming off her back but no film today. She looks normal just wont do anything. I think she has a temperature shock what an i do for her.

My fiancee had bought me this Oranda as a gift when I was away with my sister getting her 3 legged dog his wheel chair 3 states away. Unfornately my fiancee doesn't know much about fancy goldfish and didn't research it ( i am too just learning aswell). I am doing a fishless cycle on a 40 gallon tank for my orandas new home since 10 gallons isn't big engough for him. I was hoping he would be ok til my 40 gallon tank cycles but I also know the 10 gallon tank he is in is still slightly cycling which is probly causing some of my problems I noticed he started going to the surface more than usual about 2 days ago and put a air stone in and it seemed to help a bit. Today I noticed he has some pine coning right behind his gills it only seems to be there and nowhere else on his body. I have noticed as well as white stringy poop too for about 5 days and was thinking it could of been stress but all these things happening too him just doesn't seem right. I feel horrible that he isn't well I just don't know what to do and all the pets stores around this area don't really help with figuring out what is wrong :c. please help I know everyone on here seems amazing and knowledgeable and I am hoping you can help my fish and I I will try to get pictures up aswell
