Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment.pimafix, melafix for 3 days, couldnt do 7 because I had to do the water changes. Did another 3 day treatment after w/c So this may not be a problem bc I read somewhere that sometimes fish have red around their eyes as they change color. I just have to know for sure. I cant for the life of me remember if she always had one red eye, you'd think I'd notice that before the purchase as I spent hours staring at her deciding. The redness seems to have decreased, and her eye was almost completely black there for a day or 2 in the middle (why did that happen?). The meds made no difference. One eye is pearly white, the other is mostly RED and sometimes specks of black. Whats going on? Also when I got her she had these extreme curves, is that ok? And her coloring was always a dull mostly white..that ok too? Pics for reference: Good eye- ...DAN DAN DAAA.. awkward eye: All other fish have white eyes except Ken who has a slight red rim around both but I think thats just how he's colored..right? Ken: sorry dont know why last pic is so big.
  2. Hi everyone, Please be patient with me as this is my first post on Kokos. I just discovered this forum over the weekend; hopefully my next posts will be on a lighter note! I have a ~5 year old Demekin. Her water was changed last week on Tuesday. The next day in the late evening I noticed her eye was a tiny bit red. I thought maybe it was a blood vessel that popped, so I waited until the next morning to discover it bloodshot. The first 2 days I put in 2 tablespoons of aquarium salt in her tank each day (4 in total). The third day (Friday) I decided to add some Maracyn Plus because I really started to worry. She has had 2 doses so far (one on Friday & one yesterday). Her eye is still ruby red and it has not changed since then. She can still see with her red eye; she reacts when I put a flashlight near her eye etc. She seems happy and it doesn't really seem to be bothering her. Her dorsal is up, and she is very active. Her appetite is most definitely there! Her tank only has marbles & her air stone (plus the filter arms that drop into the water). So I am reluctant to think her bloodshot eye is caused by an injury, though I don't know. There is only info out there for cotton eye, but nothing for red eye. I filled out the Q&A below, these were the results a day after her water change. I can redo them today if needed... Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
