Hello everyone! I’m going to start my first Prazi Pro treatment ever tomorrow and just wanted to make sure, that I’ve understood the measurements according to this http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/index.php?/topic/105076-schedules-for-the-treatment-of-flukes-etc-using-praziquantel/ correctly, since I’m working with the metric system. I’m working with a 280 L tank. So,… 1 gal = 3,8 L Dosage of salt 5 gal = 19 L 19 L = 1 Tbs salt 280 L = 15 Tbs salt Dosage of prazipro 1 tsp per 20 gal 20 gal = 76 L 280 L = 4 tsp I know it may be easy for others. I just want to do everything right, because 15 Tbs salt sounds a lot to me. Thank you for your help!

So I am getting a new baby pearlscale this weekend. I saw them in another town near me and got pretty excited. I'm super excited because although orandas have my heart those little pearscales always make me smile too. I was reading a post a few weeks back where I read that Hikari did not recommend using salt with their fluke treatment, PraziPro. I just wanted to check if this was true. I only have PraziPro so I just want to make sure that during the quarantine period it is effective.

My fish aren't sick, but I was just reading it is good to treat your fish with prazi when you first get them either way and I've never treated my fish. I just purchased hikiari prazipro and prime secheam paragaurd. I was hoping to treat all three fish at the same time in my main tank. I've never used anything like this before so if it could be explained to me in dummy terms and every step I'd appreciate it. I have also purchased API aquarium salt. My main problem is that I'm unsure how to properly remove the carbon from my filter. I use Aqueon quiet flow and the carbon is already in the filter. I wouldn't be able to remove it without ruining the filter cartridge itself or removing the whole thing. So my fear is messing up my cycle. And if I remove the cartridge what would I do with it? In order for the BB to stay alive doesn't it have to be in water? I just added ceramic balls to the back of the filter today so I don't have any BB on there quit yet. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!
