  1. So I still have not started my preventative treat on all three of my fish yet. (I went out of town causing the delay) after reading the difference between paragaurd and prazipro I was leaning towards the paragaurd. It sounds like it covers/prevents more. The biggest reason I want to use this instead is because one of my fish has had white spots on his tail where the orange and white fade together. I've always kept my eye on it, as I first suspected it was ich. It's only on my one fish and it's only on the tail. I think it's just part of his coloring, because it's been months and nothing has happened more. I figured if I use paragaurd I can stop with my paranoia. I've tried looking up stuff about paraguard and it sounds like it only stays in the aquarium for 24 hours and people have used and had great results. So my questions are: Is there a schedule for paraguard like prazi? Should I actually use paraguard or stick with prazi? And last, would I still add salt to the tank with paraguard? Also so everyone knows, this would be all of my fishies first treatment.
  2. My fish aren't sick, but I was just reading it is good to treat your fish with prazi when you first get them either way and I've never treated my fish. I just purchased hikiari prazipro and prime secheam paragaurd. I was hoping to treat all three fish at the same time in my main tank. I've never used anything like this before so if it could be explained to me in dummy terms and every step I'd appreciate it. I have also purchased API aquarium salt. My main problem is that I'm unsure how to properly remove the carbon from my filter. I use Aqueon quiet flow and the carbon is already in the filter. I wouldn't be able to remove it without ruining the filter cartridge itself or removing the whole thing. So my fear is messing up my cycle. And if I remove the cartridge what would I do with it? In order for the BB to stay alive doesn't it have to be in water? I just added ceramic balls to the back of the filter today so I don't have any BB on there quit yet. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!
