  1. This was the tank 6 days ago, right after I added the otos. You can see how many plants have brown algae growing on them http://i82.photobuck...sTank021212.jpg These photos are from today, almost all of the brown algae is gone, only the edges of some of the pennywort leaves still has brown algae. In fact, it seems like thanks to the otos producing a ton of waste from eating all that junk off the plants, some of the plants had a major growth spurt, especially the floating pennywort as well as the giant hygro to the left (compare it's height in front of the fake red ludwigia). I also want to thank Hidr for being such a big inspiration to me with her beautiful planted tanks I love these top view photos. Here you can see the light flow of the mini filter. It turns over about 25 gallons per hour. This causes basically no water vibration, and the filter's motor runs very lightly. The frogs seem not bothered by this at all. I love the pennywort floating at the top like lily pads. And a closeup of some of the plants starting to come out of the water.
