  1. There have been so many questions lately about Siamese Fighting Fish, I thought I "Betta" get one of my own and learn more about caring for these beauties His name is Shadowfax after the white horse in LOTR. He is very feisty and seems quite at home in his new 10 gallon tank I fed him some frozen bloodworms and he seems to approve [url=http://s1269.photobucket.com/user/jmetzger72/media/Goldfish/20150306_215622.jpg.html] Thanks for looking
  2. Hi there. Here is my lovely new betta Periwinkle - Perry for short. I think he's a dragon scale, halfmoon plaket, is that right? I redecorated the betta tank after Blue passed away, with some silk plants, a moss ball, a sword plant and 3 horned nerite snails. I also replaced the lightbulb, so I hope the plants will do better. He is settling in well, but has not yet made a bubble nest for me. He's small, only about 1.5 inches. I look forward to seeing him develop. He's much more active than Blue; maybe because he has less finnage to slow him down. I am happy to have a betta in the house again - I love how curious they are!

    Got Him :)

Got my new addition today a nice blue and red Betta (not sure what type he is), set up the 10 gallon with the HOB goldfish filter set the temp to 24degrees, sand in the bottom a nice hidey cave and a silk plant on some fake wood heres a pic of the tank: and the little guy himself got some frozen brineshrimp, pellets and flakes, been reading that you can also feed them peas every so often.
