Mochi has been chasing Misha around pretty avidly since putting them together... I didn't think anything of it as I assumed Misha was a boy (lack of 'outie' vent and a few breeding stars....and me wanting her to be a him) This morning, when I went to feed them breakfast, Mochi was at it again....Smashing poor Misha into plants and filter intakes. At first I was horrified, but then upon closer inspection I noticed there were eggs- everywhere I have no idea what to do, as I really do not have the space or time to raise fry at the moment I don't even know if the eggs are fertile ? Mochi is a confirmed male (lots of breeding stars on gill plates and pectorals coupled with his incessant chasing of Misha etc; ) ---- what do i do????? And how long does it take to tell if eggs are fertilized? *freaking out*

So, my two oranda monsters had officially been out in their patio pond for a month now Things have been going really well (knock on wood) and the two have really thrived in their own personal 75 gallon summer oasis I am hoping to move two of the larger mocha fry out into the pond later on this week and without further adieu i present to you an update of the illustrious two Top veiw of the pair, i still cannot get over how dark and velvety Mochi's colour has become !!! I think Misha has grown nearly half an inch in length !! really have to get on measuring them officially and getting a food scale it still astounds me just how much my 'little' mochi has grown and changed since purchasing him what a cutie top view of their summer digs of course mochi is nearly invisible against the dark backdrop thanks for looking ! will be posting an update of the mocha fry soon

After 7 days of observational quarantine with Misha looking healthy and happy as can be, we finally made the 'big' move ! Mochi and Misha are now bombing around in their temporary 20 gallon home In about 2 weeks I'll be able to move them outside to a cushy 40 gallon patio pond in which they will spend their summer anywho, enough of my rambling- here are the two cuties !! (i don't know why i have so many problems with cropping....i can never make my movies settings correct to fit in youtubes screen..... anyone got any tips? )
