  1. My little Oranda is the apple of my eye! He has so much personality that he is very much part of the family. I rescued him from some neglectful students who had allowed him to suffer through the first few years of his life in a tiny, dark, unfiltered, filthy little bowl. I know very little about fish so I did my best to read up on what I could do to help this little man and his various afflictions. When I first got him most of his fins and tail were raggedy and blood streaked, he had occasional face/ head white spots and also a furry growth on both his pectoral fins (nowhere else). I tried to treat him with various pet store anti-fungal, and disease preventatives etc, but he reacted very badly to them. Since then, when I thought I almost lost him I just tried to do the best i could to care for him and for the past year he has seemed to be pretty happy and healthy. He had lots of energy and personality and although his red streaks faded over time, I notice that the fuzz on his pectoral fins are getting worse. Now, suddenly, over the past two days he has deteriorated very quickly and all of a sudden now he is rarely moving or eating. He has developed white spots under his eye which haven't popped and dissipated like the others did, and he is beginning to show signs of fin clamp on his left fin. I have tried my very best to diagnose and treat him but there are SO many symptoms I am now left without a clue what to do for this poor little guy. Vets are not interested in helping but he is very dear to me so if you could please PLEASE help me save him we would both be so grateful! From what I have been reading I gather that it is very possible that he might suddenly die, I am so worried! I have taken a lot of pictures so hopefully you may be able to first help diagnose all his problems and then I will do everything I can! I hope one of you lovely people out there could PLEASE help! I will do everything I can to save the little guy but first I need to know what is wrong with him! He displays so many different symptoms I dont want to make him worse. Many, MANY thanks in advance!!
