  1. First off, Cyrrus is headstanding ): I'll post in d&d soon. Second, there were casualties. Before leaving, Tui and La were dropped with their tub. Bf felt terrible but we got to them quickly. They seemed to be in shock, so I just kept them dark till we got to Sacramento. I checked on them and they looked ok, a couple of ripped fins, so I changed the water salted them to .1% and double dosed with prime. On the midway stop, I went to redose with prime, both were gone ): you wouldn't have even known it. They looked like they were alive but I checked gill movement and nothing... The shadows of their lives were still there... Fate decided to rub the salt in my wound extra hard... My 55. An entire panel, cracked from corner to corner. Infuriating. Bfs mom is bringing me her late fathers bow front because we had to leave ours for room. But now I am stuck. Luckily my grandma is going to take us shopping tomorrow so we can check prices on tanks. If nothing good comes around, we will be getting two 50 gallon storage tubs until we can get it sorted. We were going to one anyways, but now the poor fish have no aquariums ): we are going to go look at a 100 gallon tomorrow. Just so frustrating, the second half of the trip was terrible until home was in sight. Happy to say everyone else is doing ok. They are a little slow, because the water is cold. I am letting them destress for a little while before starting salt and prazi. My family is enjoying the fish (: I have had people let them nibble on their hands. Minnie is just the center of attention. No one has seen a goldfish like her before! They watched me hand feed her and were commenting on how pretty she is. My crazy mom decided to pop a hole in the bag without me knowing, so while we were unpacking I had to rush to put her in something else. She dwarfs everything around her (: The actual driving parts were long and boring. Very noisy with a chorus of cats realizing they were trapped in tiny cages. Very squished. But at least I got In N Out for the first time in over a year (; San Diego greeted me with Oregon like weather and a nice reassuring sign from the heavens: Full, double rainbows. Couldn't fit the whole thing in the shot. The stress of this trip was ridiculous and I feel like almost everything went wrong. I thought we had this well planned but there were so many accidents that just made things so much worse. My head is hurting. My aquarium is broken. My telescopes are gone ): the only thing that has made this entire thing worth it is the plans for the pond and getting to keep my precious animals. I am happy that things weren't worse, but I am thinking the next time I need to move fish near a family member, I'll just overnight them there.
  2. Test Results for the Following: Tank/Tap * Ammonia Level: A little less than .25 / .50 * Nitrite Level: 0 /0 * Nitrate level: 0 (or close to zero?) /0 Other Required Info: * Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops? API master drop kit * What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)? Fluval C4 on lowest flow * What kind of water additives or conditioners? Just Prime * Water temperature? 66F * How often do you change the water and how much? It's been less than a week with my new fish, so I haven't done so because I want to give those seeded BB's something to eat. I plan on doing 20% weekly. * How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change? He had 100% new water 4 days ago. * Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running?20gal 4 full days * How many fish in the tank and their size? Just the lionhead baby * What do you feed your fish and how often? 2 days prior to setting up the tank I fed him a little SG while he was in a bucket, but I saw him headstand after so I fed him a pea the next day just in case. The 4 days in his tank, his diet has been just roots from the water lettuce i brought over from the main tank. * Any new fish added to the tank?No * Any medications added to the tank?No * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? No I got a new fish. A lionhead the size of a quarter, with his own 20gal tank and filter (seeded from main tank). However, since day 1 in his solo tank, he has been headstanding. I'm wondering if it is his genetics because he is so small and young and short-bodied... or if this might be curable. For the last four days he has only been eating water lettuce roots that I brought from the bigger tank and pooping regularly as far as I can tell. Here is a video Picture of him sitting still: http://i50.tinypic.com/2m7u2v6.jpg

Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment. Added 10 teaspoons of salt two days ago * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? No * Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.? As of two days ago one fish is headstanding at the bottom of the tank. Actually it insist on burrowing its head at the base of a plant or in the corner. No other signs of problems. Eyes and scales are okay, no bumps or spots. Fish was fine before this without any problems. I have added 10 teaspoons of salt and have been fasting the fish. I am planning to try to get it to eat some peas tonight. Fish does seem stressed, steady gulping and gill movement. The only thing thing out of the ordinary was I asked a friend to feed the fish for one day while I was gone. I came back to this situation. I am assuming they overfed, but it seems like a drastic reaction to one overfeeding? This is a beautiful fish which has been very healthy up until now. I was just commenting to my wife last week as to how well the fish were doing. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you, John
