Okay so looking into all the white, black, black and white, golden sands I have changed my mind about getting white and I am going for gold. My question is, is that I am looking for playsand or something like that to put in my tank. I am kinda weary about chemicals from the sand so do you guys have any suggestions about play sand types that would be safe?

Finally bought a new 53 gallons tank for my goldies, love all the happy faces. Sadly my black moor couldn't make it, she passed away 2 days ago due to SB . But I'm glad that the others are fine. Bad camera *sigh. _The Video: _The Photos:

Hi there, I hope I'm posting this in the right place... Here is a picture of my favorate goldfish... (Sorry the picture is soo large!) Random questions that arn't soo important about him... I know he is a fancy goldfish but what do you think in his genetics caused this color? Where does the color come from? What kind of goldfish (besides comets!) have it often? I'd love to get more like it! Could I breed more like it ever? I LOVE this gold color!!!
