I have an idea to have a filter running during power outage. During the time, we can use battery operated air pump but we don't have filter(if we don't have power generator). But we can still use sponge filter w/ air pump. Instead of using a new sponge filter, we need a cycled one. There are two options, 1.) we can have one extra sponge filter attaching to the air line during regular time and let it cycled. 2.) we can pour the water from regular filter to the new sponge to transfer bacterial when the power go away. I prefer the first method since we don't lose anything to put one sponge filter in out tank(we still 10x method.)
So what do you think?
