  1. Well I'm down to 7 now, the other one passed away this morning. At least now none of them are showing signs of sickness now! I bought them all seperately, I didn't add all of them in a once. After the tank was cycled I moved the four from my old tank, and then added others as I found them. I was trying to figure out the filter situation, but I don't know if that could cause the fish problems. I was thinking about buying another filter to add on.
  2. Yeah, well I read the box and it says aquaclear 110, and I only have one. As for the food, I have never fed them any live food. Before medigold I was feeding them tetrafin flakes and peas as a snack.
  3. Alright I need some help. It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm having major problems with my 75 gallon tank. This past month I've been finding the same symptoms in my fish. They bloat up, then they begin to pinecone. I have also seen pop-eye in two of my fish. I've lost two of my fish in just one month, and right now I have a third that won't eat anymore and is already pineconed with pop-eye. I've lost 3 other fish since I've had the tank set up, and its been the same problem with the bloating and pine-coning. The ones that get sick are the ones that tend to lay on the bottom of the tank. That usually clues me in that something is wrong. I feed my fish medigold when I suspect problems, and I've been able to save two of my fish. How can I get rid of this problem. I don't know what it is. And I have this sad feeling that this is just gonna creep around to all of my fish until they're all gone. I need help!!! 4. I just came home from a vacation and I found that one of my goldfish seems to have pop-eye on both eyes. It looks exactly like the picture posted here on koko's website so I'm pretty sure thats what it is. I was wondering what kind of treatment I should use? I just added .3 of salt to my tank. Any help would be great! 75 gallon tank Been running approx 5 months Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 10 pH 7.4 2 - Aquaclear 500 filters Usually 20% water changes weekly Finshed Fluke Tabs cycle about a week ago
  5. Thanks for your reply Laurie. I did buy my food from goldfish connection. I just checked my water levels and everything seems good. pH- 7.6 ammonia- 0 nitrites- 0 nitrates- 10 The only med I was using in the tank was aquarium product's anti-fluke. The last treatment ended last Tuesday.
  6. I recently bought Medigold for my fish. But ever since I've been feeding them it, my water has been cloudy. I drop one pellet at a time so that I make sure a goldfish eats it and it doesn't sit at the bottom and fall into the gravel. But no matter what I do my water gets cloudy. Is this cloudy water harmful to my fish? I've been doing water changes every 3 days. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong?
  7. I don't know what is going on. I think my ranchu laid eggs this morning. These white balls were scattered all over my tank. She is right now in a 10 gallon hospital tank, where she's been living for about a week or so. Well yesterday she refused to eat, and hasn't eaten anything all day. She sits on the gravel, and almost looks like she's starting to float on her side. I don't know if this is normal? I need some help!! Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - 20 pH - 7.6 10 gallon tank, been running for 5 months Aquaclear 20 filter been changing 10% every 3 days or so 1 fish, 5"
  8. Well this morning I woke up to a surprise that Manny (I may need to rename her now) my black ranchu laid eggs. There were lots of white balls on the plants and in the filter. She looks thinner than she did last night, so I'm assuming they are eggs. She was acting funny yesterday and wouldn't eat. She's still refusing to eat, and she's not swimming around like she normally does. Is that normal? Also she is a relatively new fish, and she would push all my other fish around. I don't know if it was her general personality or could this be because she was pregnant? Any help would be great. This is the first time this has ever happened.
  9. Congrats on the new fish!! Can't wait to see pictures!!!
  10. Variety is the spice of life. I say get a mix a few different kinds of fancies. Your tank situation sounds like mine. I have a 10, 20, 50, and 75 gallon tank. My 75 gallon has 2 orandas (used to have 3), a black moor, a pom pom telescope, a pearlscale, a lionhead.
  11. Congrats on the new fish I can't wait to see the pictures!! I love visiting my vvvv just to view the fish because they have such a great selection of goldies. Its sooo hard to go home without one.
  12. The missing scales part is more like an injury where he lost a 2cm square of his scales. I had an earlier post about him getting stuck in the log inside my tank. Unfortunately he pushed himself through quite a bit before I could rescue him, which in turn ripped off a good portion of his scales. It's so sad, be he looks like he's healing well now!!! But thanks for the advice. I actually treated my tanks with that after my fish died for no apparent reason! I wanted to play it safe after losing a fishie.
  13. Thanks. I just felt the need to vent to people who could understand. I moved the ranchu into my quantine tank, where I think he will stay until I figure out what to do next.
  14. I've been having problems with my tank, from a fish dying with no symptoms, to a fish getting stuck and losing scales. Well now I took a look at my tank to find one of my celestials without an eye. I almost fell over. I think my black ranchu ate it. His mouth was so big that I had that feeling, but didn't think it could actually happen. There's nothing sharp in my tank, and the filter is covered to protect my bubble eye. I'm so sad and mad. This is awful. Poor little celestial. I really don't know what to do now. If he does it once, will he do it again? Could it be him? I dont even know. What a start to the new year.......
  15. Those are some nice pictures. I'm surprised your LFS let you take pictures. Last time I tried I got yelled at
