  1. Whew!! Seems like the constant chasing has stopped. All the goldies seem to be puttering around as usual!!
  2. So will this pass after awhile. I place her in the breeding net to give her (& ME) a break from the chasing. I occasionally let her back out but the chasing starts up right away. Or should I just let the chase go on?
  3. I have a White Oranda that was added to my tank in December! There are 3 other goldies in the 90 gallon tank. The problem is the other goldfish seem to want to chase her(?) constantly!! I occasionally place her in a holding net thingy to give her a break. Is there anything I can do to discourage the chasing or is she just irresistible? I have lots of live plants & decent hiding places. It must exhaust her....it sure does me just watching!
  4. Love the idea of attaching plants with suction cups w/hooks! I'll be doing this soon!!
  5. Hiram Georgia..........about 30 miles from Atlanta.

  9. It's funny almost one year since I last posted a Wild Trimming! My plants (Anubias & Java Fern) were huge!! Taking up ALOT of space. I was going to do a little trimming but I recently discovered BLACK BEARD ALGAE going crazy in my tank. So I REALLY cut my plants W A Y back only kept 2 small Anubias. They don't have a bit of black on them but I dipped them Just In Case!!

  13. Wow!! He's so neat!! I'd love to see a video clip of him swimming around!!! In the pic he looks like he had to take a rest from swimming around with those big ole Eyes!!! Not to mention his giant fins!!!
  14. I started out having some cute little goldfish catch my eye YEARS ago. I bought 3 or 4.....why not I had a 10 gallon tank at home that hadn't been used in years. I took them home, filled the tank, plunked the fish in there & then went to find where I had stored the filter. You can imagine it didn't take long for things to go TERRIBLY wrong. The poor lil' goldies started swimming less & less....then started dying. I started searching the web & stumbled across KOKO's. I quickly found I had not near enough tank & way too many fish! MY hubby bought me a 20 gallon tank. I think one goldie survived the ordeal. My learning curve was long & slow but I eventually learned & can now enjoy them!!
  15. I just finished trimming back my Anubias plant! It had gotten HUGE!! Then I pulled up Koko's & found it interesting that ALMOST exactly one year ago I did my Anubias trimming!!!!!
  16. That is a beautiful color change!!! Black on MY goldies ALWAYS goes away.......& I'd REALLY like to have a big ole Black Oranda......but I'd be absolutely thrilled with one like yours!!!
