  1. Here is how he looks this morning. It is much smaller. He is eagerly awaiting his breakfast. Hopefully we can ride this one out. 🙂
  2. Hello. Thanks for getting back to me. The ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels in the tank and my tap water are all at 0. PH level in tank is about 7 and same for tap. I use API test strips to test. My tank temperature is at 80 degrees. My tank is about a 40 gallon and has been running for about a year. The filter is an aqueon hob and is rated for a 50 gallon. I change the water every 4 days and do a 50 percent change every time. He is due for one today. I have three fancy Goldie's in total. Pudge, and two smaller ones. Water conditioner used is big Al's step one. I feed them omega one sinking pellets twice a day. No new fish added. Pudge did have ammonia poisoning about 6 months ago but we're almost past that now, he only has a small spot left on his tail. I used antibiotics for the tail and I use aquarium salts regularly. His behaviour is normal, eating and swimming as usual and I noticed today that the spot under is eye appears smaller. A fish expert at big Al's said it may be a ruptured cyst. Thanks again. As well, I tried posting a photo before but the site won't allow it because it's too large.
  3. Hi everyone. Does anyone know what this is under Pudge's eye? I'm very worried. Thanks for any help. Water parameters are good, ammonia is 0, just did a water change and vacuumed gravel thoroughly. I've tried to post a photo but it's too big. He has a dark bump under his eye. 😯
  4. Thanks so much for your help. Ammonia levels are down to a safe level. Doing multiple water changes and building up the cycle again. His appetite is still great and he's as friendly as ever. Hopefully we'll get this beat. 😊
  5. Hi again. Will fill out form for you tomorrow. I work nights and it's past my bedtime, lol. Thanks again for your help. 😊
  6. Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.😊
  7. Hello there. Thanks for responding. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I can do for him other than what I'm currently doing. Thanks.
  8. Hi everyone. I am a new member. My ted oranda Pudge, has what I believe to be hemorrhagic septicemia in his tail. Just discovered today that I have lost my cycle, due to the antibiotics I was dosing him with for the same issuy. Consequently, my ammonia has spiked, and I'm now doing multiple water changes as well as adding BB. Am also adding aquarium salts. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.🙂
