  1. Noodle, my four year old pest scale has some fin rot after being bullied by a new fish who would eat on her ( he has since been rehomed) I am treating her with Macryn and was wondering if I can add paraguard to this ? Or should this be enough ? Or anything better ? If this doesn’t help I will get her to the vet ASAP
  2. Artic Mama, Thank you for the response =) The bump is very hard and kind of moves around within his wen when I touched it in the past. Does this mean something different than a softer mass? Thanks again. - Pamela
  3. I am here because I need help. This is Spot. Spot is my baby, and almost six years old. He has had wen surgery three years ago to help his eyesight. We moved cross country six months ago, but he seems to be okay from that. Him and his siblings have the right water tank and set up. This started showing up about 2 months ago, I thought it was his wen coming back but now I see it’s something off. I saw something similar and thought perhaps fungus so he’s in the hospital tank right now with a fungus treatment. Could this be a tumor? If so; what are my options ? Also what could it be ? Any help is appreciated.
  4. I have had my boy Pong in a quarantine tank for over 2+ months now. Originally he began with little tumors on his tail 2 and a half years ago when he was young. I never knew what they were but they would pop off and he would heal, then they would come back again. As he got older they became more aggressive and his health declined with it. Pong is a pearl scale so it was hard to tell if his body was swollen or it was his natural body. I noticed his scales are now filling with fluids and will pop every few days. Sometimes he has 3-4 scales full of fluids at a time. He was swimming okay but now he is upside down half the day and in a corner. His tail is pretty much shredded at this point. I know this all sounds so awful and I know I should have put him down a long time ago but I love him so much. Is there anything I can possibly try, any last measure to help save pong? He still have a good appetite.
  5. Gizmo is a 2 year old blackmoor and she has been suffering from a bad case of popeye for almost three weeks, as well as a swim bladder issue. Both appeared around the same time. She is in a 55 gallon tank with her brothers, pearl scale and an oranda. The water has always been pristine and I spend a lot of time taking care of them. Gizmo has been in isolation for two weeks, with a round of erythromycin for five days, it did nothing. I then used Tetracycline for the last six days, and I thought it was clearing up but I just found her laying on her side and breathing heavy at the bottom. I got her in the big tank thinking she needed oxygen and she is swimming okay but her eye is huge, and she keeps returning to floating on her back at the bottom. I am so desperate for some advice. Thank you .
