  1. What kind of camera do you use?? This is a great shot! Very chubby cheeks ☺ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I was at my local saltwater tank store and she told me about a chicken meeting that's held in Dupo, Illinois that has had tubs of goldfish and goldfish owners meeting in the same place, as well. Anyone in Missouri or Illinois heard of this meet up and how to get invited?! Sadly, I never see opportunities in the Midwest to talk about goldfish! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thought you all would enjoy this: Happy Halloween from Cairo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. As a marketing major, I gotta love the talk of promo items!! Stickers sound like a great, inexpensive idea to rep Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you! I have been on ECR so much lately and see so many that I want because they are all beautiful! It will happen soon enough Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks! This guy actually lives in a tub outside so I'm sure the pea soup colored green water and sunlight has helped the color. We actually have good experience improving the coloring of indoor goldfish using UVB turtle lamps (which mimic sunlight) and have a video about it in terms of some black telescopes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Very interesting! That would be helpful for my plants as well. I appreciate the tip [emoji5] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. His color is so vibrant and bright! I'm working on a better lighting system for my tank because the bright yellow is what I love about these guys. You're right, probably one of the strangest fish I've seen with those giant eyes, but still very cute!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yes! So far it has seemed to stop and I'm debating on nicknaming him Blackbeard. I'm interested to see if he will continue to change in the spring! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Above: Rio the Oranda. Top picture is about 4 months ago. He has really put on a disguise.... [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. I finally got my fish I've been watching all summer from Dandy Orandas! He is much bigger than I thought he would be (6inches) He is a telescope/comet. After quarantine, I put him in my tank and although he was twice the size of my other large goldfish he was bullied. I've never seen goldfish gang up on each other so I had to separate the two bullies who were "playing bumper cars" with him. He's much happier and stress free. I think he has quite a few vision problems because his eyes look cloudy and he's a telescope with bad vision anyways. Let me know if you have any advice on the bullying or eyesight! I've included iPhone pics and prisma app pics I thought looked cool just for fun. Above: Poncho telescope comet from Dandy Orandas. I'll take better pictures with my camera in a bit and post back on this thread! Above: prisma app Poncho Above: my Orandas Cusco and Rio Above: Tito my fantail that is also a bully Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Enjoying all the calico! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I first posted pics using my iPhone when I introduced myself and as promised took some better pictures finally! I took some following the helpful guidelines on this forum with camera settings and a few turned out pretty well but I definitely need more lighting. Also, a picture of my updated 70 gallon black sand tank. Above: Zorro (really blends in with the black) Above: Tito Above: Cusco and Cairo That face^ Above: Rio Enjoy! 19. I love the lights! Looks so peaceful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks everyone!! This is how far I've gotten with the setup for now. I got a few marimo balls to put in and then I'll transfer my fish shortly and add another photo! I like the rock idea in a lot of the tanks posted so I will also be on the lookout for those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I am about to start setting up my new 75 gallon tank and need a little inspiration. I love the look of black sand and that's what I have in my current 30 gallon. I will use that again, but any advice on transferring the sand from one tank to another or how to clean it without losing it all down a drain? I have a minimum planted tank and would like to transfer what I have to my larger tank, but am considering planting a little heavier or maybe adding a few black rocks. Black background, as well. (I might not be able to see my Black Moor after all this black) If anyone has any nicely planted tanks or black sand tanks, I would love to see some pictures! Will post a picture once I pull it all together THANK YOU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Just found that! Too bad it's probably not like Walmart where they accept the wrong price tags [emoji58]I will keep checking there, thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you! I really appreciate the links because this one I was looking at was so expensive! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I recently saw a lemon colored goldfish that was apparently a mix between a yellow comet and a telescope. I was wondering if anyone else has any good pictures of this lemon color I've never seen before? Also, I was unsure about getting a comet/telescope mix because I thought it might be a much faster swimmer than my slow, fancy goldfish and would be able to eat more food faster making it harder for the slow ones to get food- thoughts? 25. That sounds like a blast and your newbies look great! Good choices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
